Acer Announces 4th Acer Mall in Bangalore

Acer has announced the opening of its fourth exclusive brand store, the Acer Mall, in the city. Siddhartha Enterprises, Acer’s retail partner in Malleshwaram, will showcase the entire range of Acer desktops, notebooks and consumer peripherals, including the Aspire series of consumer PCs, the Travelmate notebook series and the Ferrari 3000 notebook.

Speaking at the inauguration of the new outlet, W. S. Mukund, managing director, Acer India, said, “Our foray into retail has been to ensure that our customers have a comprehensive knowledge of our product range and also ensure convenient access to our products, both of which the Acer Mall strives to fulfil.

“We are extremely pleased that Siddhartha Enterprises will be partnering with us as we endeavor to offer our consumers, innovative quality products at competitive prices. The fourth exclusive brand store will further expand our presence and help us to reach out to our customers.”

The move probably marks the $900-million HDFC Property Ventures foray into retail infrastructure in a rather tight-market environment, sources said. Nitesh Estates, Citi tie up for multi-city mall development

Bangalore-based developer Nitesh Estates has joined hands with Citigroup to set up multi-city shopping mall projects worth around $300 million, in south Indian cities. The retail rollout will cover Chennai, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Bangalore over the next 3-4 years. Sources said this may be Citigroups first major retail-oriented real estate play. The project will kick off with a one-million sq ft luxury mall in Bangalores retail hot spot Indiranagar, which may also have JW Marriotts service apartments.
