Prospectus launching before the onset of the admission season has become cliché in colleges. Bangalore University has taken the cue and is coming out with a booklet giving students a glimpse of the university the courses on offer.
“The booklet has been long overdue. The booklet is more about introducing the university to the outside world and is also meant to be a reference book,” says Prof M S Thimmappa, the Vice-Chancellor.
With a foreword on the university by the Vice-Chancellor, the booklet gives a bird’s eye view of the courses offered at its sprawling Jnana Bharathi campus on the city’s outskirts and at Central College.
It also explains in simple terms, the admission procedure.

Uttar Pradesh-Delhi bus row ends, commuters relieved
New Delhi, May 19 (IANS) A six-month-old stand-off between the Delhi and Uttar Pradesh governments over the plying of buses in each others territory ended Saturday, spelling relief for thousands of daily commuters. Bangalore University to set up intranet connections with affiliated institutions
Bangalore University (BU) of India is all set to reach the exam details, results and other related information to its affiliated educational institutions and students by establishing intranet connections soon. Once connected, the intranet system will enable department heads, principals of recognised colleges and BU administrative offices to access information from the comfort of their seats.
