Anritsu Corp. is establishing an office in Bangalore, India, to expand its India business in test and measurement for mobile phone related equipment. The new office will open as the Anritsu Corporation India Liaison Office on August 1 with a staff of four.
The number of mobile subscribers in India continues to increase, reaching in 57.38 million in June 2005). With the telephone penetration level still below 10%, Anritsu expects demand for mobile phones in India with low call charges to multiply rapidly. Many of the world’s leading telecommunications companies have already entered the Indian market, and demand for test and measuring equipment for mobile phone systems seems certain to increase rapidly.
