Accor to open second property Pullman Kuching in Malaysia

Accor will launch its second Pullman in Kuching, Malaysia. The hotel known as Pullman Kuching is slated to open on November 17, 2009 and will be 20 minutes drive from Kuching International Airport.

The 389 guest rooms at the hotel will boast the latest technological in-room connectivity devices and other signature features such as Pullman Bed, LCD Televisions with a large selection of international channels, high speed Internet access and in-room safety box. The hotel will boast a total of 3,660 sq mt of meetings and event space with 10 comprehensive banquet and conferencing venues. The ballroom can accommodate up to 1,500 people for a sit-down banquet.

Guests can maintain regular workout routines while staying at the Pullman Kuching. The hotel’s fitness centre offers modern equipment and the latest body exercise programmes. Pullman Kuching’s large spa facility will have seven treatment rooms and an outdoor swimming pool with sundeck.

Engineers and programmers worried about impending layoffs at Hewlett-Packard, which announced on Tuesday that it plans to cut 14,500 jobs, might want to start sending their resumes around internally. That's because a check of the "Jobs at HP" Website indicates the company is still recruiting for lots of open positions. A search of the site on Friday afternoon returned requisitions for 1,302 open positions, including a wide variety of engineering, software development, and customer-support slots.
