Milestone Capital Advisors, India’s only truly active management Venture Fund House focusing on tier 2 / tier 3 real estate, has decided to invest up to Rs. 1,000 crore in real estate projects in Maharashtra.
Rs. 300 crore will be invested in commercial projects in Pune and Rs. 300 crore will be invested in affordable housing projects (Rs. 10 lakhs – Rs. 25 lakhs per unit) in Maharashtra (in Nagpur, Nasik, Pune and suburban towns/ districts of Mumbai). In addition, Milestone is also actively considering a few investment proposals from Nasik.
Rs. 200 crore is being earmarked for development of Logistics Parks across Maharashtra.

Delhi-based real estate firm Ansal API plans to raise close to Rs 1,000 crore through a follow-on public offer (FPO). The company is also in final stages of striking a $250 million private equity (PE) deal with a London-based fund. US based Walton Street Capital to invest Rs 1,000 crore in Indian realty
The US-based hospitality and real estate fund Walton Street Capital (WSC) has decided to invest Rs 1,000 crore in the booming Indian real estate market in 2008. It has already tied up with property developers for investing Rs 600 crore at the project level. These investments will be made in special purpose vehicles (SPV) floated specially to implement projects. PSUs’ capacity to invest in joint ventures doubled
The government has decided to double the capacity of public sector enterprises to invest in joint ventures and incur capital expenditure. A Rs 1,718-crore project has also been approved to set up five automobile research and testing facilities in the country. These facilities would come up at Manesar in Haryana, Pune in Maharashtra and Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu.
