One of the largest property exhibitions held in Toronto recently was termed a great success judging by the number of people who attended the Expo to find out about investing in real estate opportunities in India. Buy Indian Properties organized by the CineMaya Media Group, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: CNMY) targeted the burgeoning and lucrative market of prospective Canadian buyers in Toronto at the International Center on Saturday, May 31 and June 1, 2008.
The event was inaugurated by Deepak Obhrai, Member of Parliament and Parliamentary Secretary to the Foreign Affairs Minister and to the Minister of International Cooperation and the Indian Consul-General, Satish Mehta. Organizers also launched the Buy Indian Properties magazine, a publication dedicated to real estate in India.
The South Asian community is establishing deep roots in Canada and can proudly claim to be a successful and dynamic segment of the Canadian population. Its influence can now be widely seen in all facets of the Canadian mosaic. Having established themselves, this community is playing a vital role in the real estate market. In Canada, for example, this communitys influence is spread across all neighbourhoods. I would say that the South Asian community is now expanding their real estate interests from Canadian shores to India, some looking to buy a home in the country of their birth and others with the idea of setting up a base for their commercial ventures, said Obhrai as he cut the ribbon for the inauguration ceremony held on the morning of May 31.
